Moldova’s Andrei Puțuntică has won two medals at the European Youth Table Tennis Championships that were held in Varazdin, Croatia, IPN reports.
In the individual competition, the Moldovan tennis player won bronze, managing to score eight victories. Andrei was beaten only by the future champion Vladimir Sidorenko of Russia. Instead, Puțuntică qualified in the doubles, together with Jiri Martinko of the Czech Republic. In the final, they lost to the Romania pair Cristian Pletea and Sipoș Rareș and won silver.
The European Youth Table Tennis Championships involved 56 athletes.
