Independent candidate in single-member constituency No. 21 Criuleni, Andrei Porubin, said he decided to become involved in the electoral competition in order to bring about changes in the constituency and in the country. In a news conference at IPN, where he launched his election campaign, Andrei Porubin said he will promote the provision of free primary legal assistances, the creation of jobs and maintaining of a direct dialogue with the citizens.
According to Andrei Porubin, in the campaign to collect signatures that preceded his registration in the electoral race, he saw that the ordinary citizens lack legal assistance and cannot write a simple application or complaint. If he is elected MP, he will organize primary legal assistance that will be provided free by volunteer lawyers and jurists.
As regards the creation of jobs, the candidate admitted that this is a hard, but not impossible mission. Investments should be attracted to create jobs and he will concentrate his efforts in this direction.
As to the communication with people, Andrei Porubin said the dialogue with MPs is lost after the election campaign. The candidate promises he will go to meetings with persons in the community once in three months to answer their questions.
He decide to run independently as he has more freedom this way. Andrei Porubin is decided to criticize no one in the current campaign even if he was criticized. He denied being supported by a party or influential persons and said that all the decisions are taken by him.
In the past, he was the member of a pro-European party, but left this in 2014, after six months, as he didn’t agree with the actions taken by the party’s administration.
Andrei Porubin was born in Holercani village of Dubăsari district. After school, he continued his studies at the Institute of Physical Education and Sport. Until January 2 this year, he was the chief of guard at the Press House.
