The leader of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPAD) Andrei Nastase, who applied to be registered as a candidate for President of Moldova, said that he has confidence in the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS). The statement was made in the program “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel several days after the PAS leader Maia Sandu in the same program suggested that she does not fully trust Andrei Nastase, IPN reports.
“I usually come with a full glass and think that the person with whom I talk is as I am. In fact, Maia Sandu didn’t say that she does not have confidence. She said that confidence is built in time. I have confidence in the PAS. This party comes from the same environment as we and we have common ideas and goals. We cannot address the problems of particular persons. We approach the people’s problems,” stated Andrei Nastase.
He admitted that he would like to be the common candidate for President, but assured that he will comply with the results of the two polls that will become available at the end of September. “I will keep my word and will act as we agreed. A difficult struggle is pending and, as a man, I’m ready to assume this responsibility and pain myself,” said the politician.
Andrei Nastase noted that the PPDA will ignore geopolitics in the election campaign. “We must leave geopolitics aside. We will not follow this path. We will explain to the people that life, justice and roads in the European Union are better, but we can ensure such things ourselves at home,” he stated.
