The candidate for mayor of Chisinau of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase said the fraud staged by the mafiotic clans is a large-scale one, but these will be unable to achieve their objective if everyone goes to vote. In a news conference on May 18, which is the last day of electoral agitation, the candidate called on the residents of Chisinau to vote in the elections and to do what they want – to make the change, IPN reports.

“I every day was among the people, in the city and in all the suburban settlements. I discussed with elderly people, with young families and students, with those who work and those who are looking for a job. I explained the program of our team for Chisinau, our priorities and financing solutions to the people and responsibly assumed implementation deadlines. The inhabitants of Chisinau understood and I strongly believe that they will support our approach. We know exactly what we have to do,” stated Andrei Nastase.

According to him, together with his team he will eliminate all the corruption schemes, will recover the funds embezzled from banks, will optimize the activity of municipal enterprises, will develop public-private partnerships and will launch vital projects with European financing. “The oligarchs, the Plahotniuc-Dodon duo, tried to compromise all our efforts to inform the people! They used lies, manipulation, denigration and fake news, threats and intimidation. That’s enough!”, said Andrei Nastase. The candidate called on the OSCE and Promo-LEX Association to attentively monitor these elections and to make sure that the people’s will is not distorted.

In the same news conference, the leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Maia Sandu said on May 20 the citizens of Chisinau municipality will not only choose the person who will take care of their comfort, but will also make a choice between democracy and an authoritarian regime – between a correct government and a corrupt one. “We, those who believe in democracy, should unite as we lost in time because we were divided. Now we have to unite. This year we have to win two very important battles for us, for the future of this country and therefore should be united,” stated the politician.

Andrei Nastase and Maia Sandu said they will create a staff for May 20 that will be based on 15, 31 august St. Those who will identify violations in the voting process are invited to call on 022 103030.
