The application filed by Socialist MP Vasile Bolea to the Superior Council of Magistracy concerning the dismissal of Constitutional Court judges Liuba Șova, Nicolae Roșca and Domnica Manole is equal to zero, the leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Andrei Năstase stated in the talk show “Secrets of the Power” on Jurnal TV channel, IPN reports.

“This is a ridiculous act on the part of this mister who says he is a jurist. I saw his quality of jurist in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. I will not elaborate for a number of reasons, but this application is anyway equal to zero,” said the politician. “Such an approach is only politically motivated and it is surely a manifestation of despair by Igor Dodon, who by mistake, not to say by stupidity, conceded one of his pawns. He is a chess player and said that he plays chess well, but now conceded a pawn by stupidity or by mistake. I refer to Țurcanu and that discussion with him that could have normally remained in a particular area...”

According to the politician, the arguments provided by Vasile Bolea, who said that the three judges broke the taken oath by revealing the secrecy of the deliberation when choosing the president of the Constitutional Court and allowing interference in the Court’s work, should have been mentioned then, not after almost a year.

“It is a primitive attempt to create this state of uncertainty and to give the impression that there is a political struggle, that there are persons in the opposition who control particular judges who have influence on some of the judges. Those who until yesterday controlled the Constitutional Court, as they thought through the Court’s president, now have what to say. If they have what to say, these misters should have said it then as almost a year has passed.”

The leader of the PPPDA also drew a parallel between the way of acting of the former leader of the Democratic Party and the way of acting of President Igor Dodon.

“Things are very clear. This is how Plahotniuc acted every time. What did Plahotniuc do? He accused me and Maia Sandu of being financed from outside and created appearances, profited from the media holding, the bunch of trolls. Dodon acts similarly and creates appearances. We, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, should not judge by appearances and should live according to the realities.”

As to the fact that Igor Dodon accuses the opposition of particular actions, Andrei Năstase said the opposition only uses the available legal, democratic instruments and when the law and the Constitution are broken, they surely react and go to the Constitutional Court.
