The leader of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPPDA) Andrei Nastase submitted the documents required for being registered as a runner in the Mayo 20 mayoral elections to the Chisinau Municipal District Electoral Council. In the elections, this is supported politically by the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS), IPN reports.
Andrei Nastase read a statement, saying the two parties combined forces in order to start the big improvement in Chisinau, which is expected by everyone. He noted he will try to score the victory in the first round of voting. He is ready to have a correct dialogue with the representatives of all the pro-European and anti-oligarchic political forces so that they struggle against Plahotniuc-Dodon-Shor and others.
Andrei Nastase said he is the most inconvenient participant in the race as the PPPDA and the PAS, which supports him, are the cleanest political forces of the moment and of the future. He will run in elections because he wants to be able to do profound reforms that would improve the life of every citizen in the municipality of Chisinau and the whole country. He has a team of professionals, a consistent program and the power needed to win this elections.
The Chisinau Municipal District Electoral Council has seven days to check the documents and take a decision as to the registration of the candidate.
In the morning, the Liberal Party’s candidate for mayor general of Chisinau municipality Valeriu Munteanu also submitted the documents for being registered as a contender.
A draw to decide the order in the ballot of the candidates who filed the documents will be held at 5pm today.
