The president of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) Andrei Năstase, co-president of the bloc ACUM, said the discussions with the Party of Socialists (PSRM) will continue, but they will yet see where these take them. Earlier, the PSRM stated it is ready to form a parliamentary majority with a functional government, not yet a minority government with the political bloc ACUM, IPN reports.
“I hope they will one day realize that the process of de-oligarchization should ultimately start. If they don’t want us to elect a Government, let’s take step to form that Government,” stated the leader of the PPPDA.
As to Igor Dodon’s statement that the PSRM will not form a coalition with the Democratic Party, Andrei Năstase said it is very hard to believe something with the closed eyes or to accept any kind of such statements when they already experienced the situation when Igor Dodon and the PSRM abandoned the protests and cooperated with the Democrats. “How can we know that they don’t make all kinds of bargains and hold negotiations in parallel with the public discussions? I didn’t hear the answer to a very important question, if the Socialists will ever reach agreements, have talks and form alliances with Plahotniuc and the Democratic Party,” Andrei Năstase stated in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel.
The politician said the members of the bloc ACUM will convene the bloc’s council and the parliamentary groups of the Party “Action and Solidarity” and the PPDA will also have a meeting and they will later come with a reaction to Socialists’ statements.
Andrei Năstase said that if the level of confidence between the bloc ACUM and the PSRM rises, they could discuss particular formals, including the possibility of voting a government, a minority one or a majority one. “When we reach that point, we can discuss and if things go well, we will all form a functional government,” stated the co-president of ACUM. Andrei Năstase also said that there is now no confidence between the two entities.
He noted that steps are intentionally taken to block the adoption of laws in Parliament and they go towards snap elections this way.
