The leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Andrei Năstase, who runs for President, called on the leader of the Party of Action and Solidarity Maia Sandu to abandon the electoral race. “I demand that she should sincerely and maximally support me, as I and my colleagues from the Dignity and Truth Platform supported her in the election campaign of the autumn of 2016,” stated Andrei Năstase, being quoted by IPN.

“Analyzing with maximum objectivity the existing political situation and assessing our people’s chances to freely and democratically elect a person who can beat Igor Dodon, can reform the state, do justice and improve everyone’s lives, given the commitment made in June 2019 by which Maia Sandu and PAS pledged to support the PPPDA’s candidate for President, we reiterate our call to the Action and Solidarity Party and to Missis Maia Sandu,” stated the politician.

He noted that sociological polls clearly show, as in 2016, that he is the only candidate who can defeat Igor Dodon. “The sociological arguments are based on tens of studies conducted back at the start of 2020, which are relevant to the whole population of the Republic of Moldova, while the definition of success in this case is connected with the previous activity, past, profile and personality of the electoral opponents. In such conditions, the Dignity and Truth Platform decided to formulate in public a very serious, coherent and constrictive proposal of cooperation to the PAS,” stated Andrei Năstase.

The leader of the PPPDA calls upon Maiai Sandu to abandon the electoral race that she cannot win against Igor Dodon, as all the sociological surveys show, and to support him in this race.

“Given that the citizens of the Republic of Moldova voted for a modern, European country project, I pledge publicly, immediately after I win the presidential elections, to start the legal and constitutional procedures by which to form a parliamentary majority with the appointment of Missis Maia Sandu to one of the central posts in the state,” said Andrei Năstase.
