The mayor-elect of Chisinau municipality Andrei Nastase said the delay in the validation of his seat is first of all needed by the real estate mafia and the fact that the activities around several facilities in the municipality intensified is a proof of this. The issue was developed in the talk show “Expertise hour” on Jurnal TV channel, IPN reports.
Andrei Nastase said that after Dorin Chirtoaca resigned from the post of mayor, the real estate mafia moved to one beneficiary - the Democratic leader Vladimir Plahotniuc. “They need it, surely with the complicity of the Socialists as many things were solved at the Chisinau Municipal Council, including with the involvement of the Socialists,” he stated. According to him, the Socialists file to court applications that normally cannot influence the election outcome, but are designed to postpone the validation of his term in office. Andrei Nastase noted he cannot say if one will insist on the annulment of the election results.
The mayor-elect said that on a Monday morning he found Viorel Bodiu, who is close to Constantin Botnari and Vladimir Plahotniuc, in the office of deputy mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu. “He went there to solve some problems. Such resolution lasts for two weeks,” he stated, referring to the actions concerning a number of building in Chisinau municipality.
The Centru branch of the Court of Chisinau on June 15 put off the validation of the seat of the mayor-elect of Chisinau. In a new hearing on June 18, the secretary of the Chisinau District Electoral Council Vitalie Miron asked to replace the judge for the reason that this pronounced on the essence of the case at the initial stage, which is not right. The application was accepted and the case is to be redistributed to another judge.
