The chairman of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase considers that a bill submitted by the Government to Parliament will lead to the financial enslaving of the people. According to him, the initiative obliges the Ministry of Finance to pay the state guarantees issued by the Leanca and Gaburici Governments for the loans provided to the three liquidated banks, which were reportedly involved in the theft of the billion, IPN reports.
In a press statement, Andrei Nastase says that in an absolutely nontransparent way, without having consultations with civil society, the Government submitted the draft law that provides for the transformation of the state guarantees into an internal debt, by significantly increasing the sum, which is to be paid by the taxpayers starting with 2017. “So, under the bill, the Ministry of Finance will issue and will transmit to the National Bank state bonds at an interest rate that is 50 times higher than the interest on the loans released to the three robbed commercial banks,” he wrote.
The Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” calls on society and the real anti-oligarchic opposition parties to take all the possible measures, including mounting massive protests, so as not to allow adopting this anti-people law, and demands that the bill should be immediately withdrawn from Parliament because it seriously affects the basic human rights and fundamental freedoms.
The party publicly undertakes to annul this law if it is passed by the legislative body, after the replacement of the regime, to identify and restore the stolen billion, to investigate and bring to justice all the persons who caused the financial and economic disaster in Moldova, including the MPs who will vote this bill, contrary to the interests of the people.
