The founding president of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” demands that the whole Cabinet led by Natalia Gavrilița should be dismissed. Andrei Năstase considers the Executive fails to achieve results at social and economic levels. He anticipates that if things continue the same way, the people will start to protest against such attitude to governance, IPN reports.
Andrei Năstase said the demands to dismiss particular ministers made by parliamentary and extraparliamentary opposition parties are insufficient as the whole Executive should be dismissed. The whole governmental team is incompetent and insufficient, with some exceptions.
“Seeking the dismissal of a minister today and of another minister tomorrow is not a solution. This Government should be fully replaced. Yes, there are some exceptions in the Government. Great effort is made in the field of foreign policy and this minister can be kept. There are also several areas in which effort is made, but the current Government should leave. Otherwise, the people will lose patience. Or they are waiting for the things in society to heat up? Autumn comes and it won’t be well at all. Winter comes later and in winter it is not like in summer. We see only failures at social and economic levels. The President and the Prime Minister should wake up and see that what is going on is inadmissible. You can lie to some a little, to others more, but you cannot lie to everyone all the time,” Andrei Năstase stated in the talk show “The Fourth Estate” on N4 TV channel.
Andrei Năstase noted that the inflation rate in Moldova is the highest in Europe for objective reasons, but also due to the Government’s incapacity to manage the crisis experienced by the Republic of Moldova. The people should not wait for four years to punish the current government.
“The President in a TV program said that if you talk about prices too much, they grow. In several months, the Premier comes and says the same thing. The Parliament Speaker will also say so in a period. I do not deny that this can have a particular sense, but this can be said by ordinary people. But they are in power and should find solutions, not pretexts and excuses. They should act beforehand. If there is a problem at the NBM, you should talk. Why isn’t there communication between the NBM governor and the Premier? What is the problem? One of them should leave or they both should leave. They are disrespectful towards this country and this is the most serious thing. Those who are allowed to govern the country should not be allowed to rule for four years for being punished later. They should be penalized during the first 100-200 days,” stated Andrei Năstase.
On June 4, the National Council of the Party of Socialists decided to empower the party’s parliamentary group to initiate the procedure for dismissing the Government. In accordance with the law, the Executive can be dismissed by the votes of at least 51 MPs. The ruling Party of Action and Solidary holds 63 seats of MP of the 101.
