As a result of the failure to dismiss the Government led by Ion Chicu, the leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” that initiated the no confidence motion said a lot of time was wasted on discussions, but they could have concentrated their efforts on solidarity, action and gathering of support for that motion. Even so, the motion was aimed at revealing the problems with which the current Government cannot cope, Andrei Năstase was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Black Box” on TV8 channel.
“The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” did what it had to do as part of the parliamentary opposition as its MPs were voted by the people to do justice, to improve peoples’ lives and to fight the acts of injustice and inequality, especially those committed by the government. This is what the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” did. Regrettably, the no confidence motion was discussed in our society too much. Everyone pronounced on it, including those who cannot and should not have pronounced. But it happens so in a democratic society,” stated the politician.
Andrei Năstase noticed the motion wasn’t a tactic aimed at gaining political advantages and they really wanted the current Government to be replaced.
“I’m the leader of an opposition party that during five years has worked and struggled and not for itself, but primarily for a part of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. We proposed that no confidence motion in order to change things. We really wanted this catastrophic Government to be removed as it is unable to solve people’s problems and to overcome the pandemic, the economic crisis. It should be replaced by a responsible Government assumed by the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, which will include professionals, upright persons abled to deliver results,” noted Andrei Năstase.
