Andrei Donică lost election in Condrița

The leader of the Professionals’ Movement “Speranța-Nadejda” Andrei Donică lost the mayoral election in Condrița village of the municipality of Chisinau. In this locality, the election was won by the Liberal Democratic Party’s candidate Alexei Boșneaga by the first round of voting, IPN reports.

Alexei Boșneaga won 52.82% of the poll, while Andrei Donică – 44.01% of the ballot.

Andrei Donică also contended for the mayoralty of Chisinau and polled 0.19% of the vote. For this post, he was voted by 17.56% of the electors from the suburban village Condrița.

In Chisinau, the chairman of the Professionals’ Movement “Speranța-Nadejda” was registered as a contender on the last days of the election campaign. The Chisinau District Electoral Council refused to register him as a candidate because he had been registered as a contender for the mayoralty of Condriței. Ultimately, the courts of law ruled in his favor and Andrei Donică was registered as a candidate for mayor of Chisinau as well.
