We hope the political class in Chisinau will abandon the narrow party interests and will ultimately form a pro-European alliance, MEP Andi Cristea, who is the co-chairman of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee, said in the program “European horizon” on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.

“We hope the broken vase can be still glued together. Extended communication exists with the political class in Chisinau. I think there are chances for restoring the pro-European alliance,” said the MEP, who made it clear that Brussels will not be delighted if an alliance between the PDM, PCRM and PSRM is formed.

Andi Cristea noted that Moldova risks remaining without money and the developments in Chisinau are considered dangerous games. “What’s going on in Chisinau is dangerous. The failure of a pro-European government affects the image and credibility of the EU among the Moldovan citizens. By its financing, the EU managed to generate reforms in Moldova. A continuous dialogue is needed so that the Moldovan political elite realize the seriousness of the situation,” he stated.

The MEP assured that the EU will not abandon Moldova. “It’s true that the terrorism and refugees are now the main preoccupations of the EU, but the Eastern Partnership policy adopted last week shows that the Republic of Moldova will not be ignored,” said Andi Cristea.
