Particular persons make attempts to obtain benefits from the protests staged in the Great National Assembly Square for the future legislative elections, media analyst Anatolie Golea said in the talk show “Pahomi” on Realitatea TV channel, IPN reports.
“They are trying to make use of this protest wave. During the September 6 protest, there were also other persons besides the organizers on the stage, including a former minister. A party of the right was formed on the eve of the protest. Among those who protest in tents I saw party leaders. The Topa brothers want to become actively involved in politics so as to take revenge on their former business partner Vlad Plahotniuc. The nucleus of the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” will divide. A part will remain inside civil society, while the other part will enter politics,” stated the journalist.
Anatolie Golea believes that if early parliamentary elections are held, the people will vote as they voted earlier. “What will happen next is a matter of principle. There is a big danger that one oligarchic system will be replaced with another one, as it happened in April 2009. In case of early elections, the voters could regret what they voted for,” he stated.
The analyst considers the organizers of the protest are also in a difficult situation. “I don’t think their demand to call early legislative elections will be satisfied. There will be probably some dismissals at the Prosecutor General’s Office, the National Bank of Moldova and the National Anticorruption Center. It is interesting how the organizers will explain to the protesters why the protest would end when the final goal wasn’t achieved. It’s easier to tell these people to come to the protest than to ask them to leave,” said Anatolie Golea.
