The Baccalaureate test in the foreign language was published on social networking sites, director of the National Agency for Curriculum and Assessment Anatol Topala said in a press briefing on June 10. According to him, the photo was taken with the permission of the person responsible for organizing the exam at a Baccalaureate center in Ungheni town, IPN reports.
Anatol Topala noted that the person who allowed taking the photo was identified. “Employees of the General Police Inspectorate are examining the case to establish if more persons were involved in it,” he stated.
The Agency’s director said that an extraordinary meeting of the National Exams Commission was called to discuss this case. The Commission will decide how the persons involved in this case will be penalized. According to the Contravention Code, the publication of the Baccalaureate test carries a fine of up to 2,000 lei for private individuals and of up to 8,000 lei for legal entities.
Anatol Topala also said that nine students were eliminated from the exam in the foreign language because they had mobile phones, earphones or copying notes on them.
The exam in the foreign language was taken by over 18,000 students. Of these, 10,000 students sat the exam in English, over 7,000 – in French, 238 – in German, 84 – in Spanish, 52 – in Italian, while 40 – in the Turkish language.
The next Baccalaureate exam, in the specialty subject, will be taken on June 14.
