The chairman of the National Unity Party (PUN) Anatol Șalaru said the party is to take a decision as to its participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections. According to the politician, one of the options is that the PUN will not take part in elections, but will support the bloc of the Party “Action and Solidarity” and the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”. In the program “Fourth power” on N4 channel, Anatol Șalaru noted a final decision will be taken next week, IPN reports.
“For us, it is important not to have three MPs, but to prevent the Party of Socialists from winning the parliamentary elections and the current government from returning to power after the elections. All the means are good for achieving this purpose,” stated Anatol Șalaru.
The politician said he rejected Vitalia Pavlichenko’s invitation to form an alliance with a number of unionist parties because the idea of constituting this platform was formulated by Vladimir Plahotniuc with the aim of creating a unionist pole that would steal votes, but would not enter Parliament.
