Moldovan wrestler Anastasia Nikita climbed to the first spot in the world rankings in the 57 kg weight category after winning bronze at the 2024 Zagreb Open, IPN reports.
The Top 10 greatest athletes also include: Mariana Draguțan (55 kg) – 3rd place, Irina Rîngaci (68 kg) – 4th place, Victor Ciobanu (60 kg) – 5th place, Maxim Saculțan (65 kg) – 6th place, Artiom Deleanu (55 kg) – 6th place, Mariana Cherdivară-Eșanu (62 kg) – 7th place, Mihail Bradu (82 kg) – 7th place, and Alexandrin Guțu (77 kg) – 9th place.
Among the athletes who qualified for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, judoka Denis Vieru (66 kg) is the best rated, being at the top of the world rankings.
