Anastasia Nikita was named Europe’s best wrestler in 2023. She was handed over the trophy in Bucharest, where she was unable to defend her supreme title due to an injury she suffered in the quarterfinals, IPN reports.
Anastasia Nikita scored two victories at the European Wrestling Championships in Bucharest: 10-0 against Germany’s Sandra Paruszewski and 6-2 against Hungary’s Tamara Dollak. Azerbaijan’s Alyona Kolesnik emerged victorious in the 59 kg weight category.
Anastasia Nikita has already qualified for the Paris Olympic Games scheduled for July 26 - August 11.
