Wrestler Anastasia Nikita said she was disappointed by the postponement of the Olympic Games, but she will yet be able to accumulate the necessary experience until 2021 and will thoroughly train for the Tokyo Olympics, IPN reports.
Anastasia is in good form. In February, she became European seniors champion in Rome. “I was slightly disappointed, but nothing is lost. This is like a bonus as I will be able to train further and to gain more experience,” the wrestler stated for a TV channel.
Currently, Moldova has seven athletes who qualified for next year’s Olympic Games, namely: athletes Sergey Marghiev, Zalina Petrivskaya, Dimitriana Surdu, Lilia Fisikovici, archer Alexandra Mîrca, swimmer Tatiana Salcuțan and wrestler Anastasia Nikita.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympics were put off for July 23 – August 8, 2021.
