Wrestler Anastasia Nichita has won a new medal in her career. At the European Junior Wrestling Championships held in Germany’s Dortmund, she won silver, IPN reports.
In the 59 kg class, Nichita scored three victories against the representatives of Ukraine, Italy and France. In the final, she lost to a Norwegian wrestler 0-10.
Among men, remarkable results were achieved by Dmitri Ceacusta and Samhan Jabrailov. They both won bronze. Ceacusta defeated Bulgaria’s Zlatkov in the match for the third place in the 96 kg class, while Jabrailov won against Georgia’s Urtashvili in the 120 kg class.
The Republic of Moldova is represented by 18 wrestlers at the competition.
