Swimmer Anastasia Basisto is one step away from the Tokyo Olympics. The athlete from Bălți met B standard at the international swimming competition in Latvia, which involved sportspersons from nine countries, IPN reports.
Anastasia ranked third in 200m breaststroke, hitting a new record for Moldova: 2.28.53. In 50m and 100m breaststroke, she finished fourth.
At the competition in Latvia, Pavel Alovatskii won silver in 200m freestyle (1.52.93) and silver in 400m freestyle (4.01.67), while Constantin Malachi won bronze in 100m freestyle (51.24).
