The reports on the fulfillment by Moldova of the commitments towards the Council of Europe will be presented in a meeting of the Monitoring Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that will be held in Paris on December 10. The agenda of the meeting includes the early legislative elections that took place in Moldova on November 28, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Parliament’s press service, the meeting will be attended by MPs Ana Gutu, the delegation’s head, and Grigore Petrenco, a substitute member.
The Monitoring Commission is to examine the situation concerning the functioning of the democratic institutions and the progress made in monitoring Georgia, Ukraine, Serbia, Armenia, Albania, as well as the development of the post-monitoring dialogue in Turkey.
The Commission will confer on the November 28 early legislative elections and the post-electoral situation in Moldova.
Under Resolution 1115 of the PACE, when a monitoring procedure is initiated, two members of the parliamentary delegation of every member state take part in the meetings of the Monitoring Commission to represent the power and the Opposition.
