On the European Night of Museums, which is marked on May 19, the National Museum of History and Archeology will offer a multitude of treats, including an exhibition of “enigmatic objects”, a parade of historical figures, theatrical sketches, knight combats, ikebana and pottery classes, and many others. The Night will start at 6:00PM and will end at 2:00AM, Info-Prim Neo reports. The History Museum said in a press release that on May 19 over 3,000 museums across Europe will celebrate the Night of Museums, an event patronized by the Council of Europe, UNESCO and the International Council of Museums ICOM. “The Night of Museums is an opportunity for the large public to discover for free the diversity of collections and the cultural offer of museums in an entertaining and interactive way”, says the press release. Besides the range of activities inside and outside the Museum, the program also includes a bus tour around Chisinau and a raffle offering the chance to win a mountain bike. The program of the event is available on the website of the History Museum at http://www.nationalmuseum.md/.
