The amounts collected as income tax from private individuals who lease out real estate grew by 22.2% in the first eight months of 2022, compared with the corresponding period last year, to 25.4 million lei, IPN reports.
According to the State Tax Service, in January – August 2022 there were registered 4,022 private individuals who own rental property. In the case of 368 private individuals who lease out real estate, there were calculated additionally basic payments to the budget totaling 219,100 lei, delay increase totaling 15,500 lei and fines totaling 32,700 lei.
As many as 12,535 real estate lease agreements have been registered in 2022.
