Our Moldova Alliance' (AMN) s leader Serafim Urecheanu says he will accept to have a dialogue with the Communists Party (PCRM) only after the latter fulfills several pre-conditions and only in case their implementation is monitored by the European Union, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Urecheanu told a news conference on Wednesday he asked the Communists to unconditionally free the people apprehended after the April 7 protests, to withdraw the accusations against those three opposition parties about the alleged coup d'etat, to insure the opposition's access to the public television and radio and to set up a parliamentary committee to probe the April 7 events, comprising representatives of the opposition, the free press, the EU and the Council of Europe.
The same demands were put up on the eve by the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), without calling them pre-conditions for the dialogue with the PCRM.
The AMN leader says the pre-conditions have been coordinated with those two opposition parties and said Vladimir Voronin, the president in office and the PCRM leader, called the opposition to a dialogue “only on television.”
Serafim Urecheanu says the reasons why the parliament's structures were not elected on Tuesday consisted in the fact that “there are huge disagreements among the Communists in terms of sharing the ruling jobs in the state and there is a very big scandal they don't have 52 votes to elect Voronin as speaker of parliament.”
Urecheanu says the PCRM displayed an arrogant conduct on the first sitting of the parliament on May 5. “It takes decisions alone and surreptitiously,” the parliamentarian said.
Urecheanu reiterated that “this time the Communists will suffer a total failure in attracting the opposition to their side.” “All those 41 opposition MPs stay firm on their positions,” he underlined, mentioning that AMN parliamentarian Veaceslav Platon, suspected of being likely to give the golden vote to elect the Communists' president, is not wanted by the police, as media reported. The probe on him was ended and canceled.
