The Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) suggests that the election contenders in the campaign for the November 28 legislative elections should observe ten rules. In a news conference on Tuesday, the party's first deputy chairman Victor Osipov said that this “Decalogue” is a call for conducting a fair campaign, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We must pay attention to the moral aspects and behavior in the election campaign. We invite the partners from the government coalition and not only to complement and adjust this document, but first of all to respect it. We promise we will observe it,” Osipov said.
The “Decalogue” was formulated on the basis of the violations identified by the AMN during the first days of the campaign. The AMN's election posters in Taraclia had been tore up before the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin's visit. In some of the districts headed by representatives of the Democratic parties, the AMN's posters were also removed. “It is very sad as it was done by persons who had been promoted by the AMN. Moreover, some of the colleagues from the governing alliance try to recruit AMN activists,” Victor Osipov stated.
The ten rules proposed by the AMN are: do not lie to the voters; do not recruit members from other parties; do not bribe the voters using administrative resources; do not criticize the opponents; do not tear up opponents' election posters; do not attack the electoral agitators; do not make empty promises; do not put the personal interests above the country's interests, and do not denigrate the country and the national symbols.
The AMN will make public its election program next week.
