The Moldova Noastra Alliance considers the early legislative elections should be held after the local ones that will take place next spring. Related statements were made by heavyweights and local leaders of the party in a news conference on August 3, Info-Prim Neo reports. “It is well known that the parties start campaigning before the official date. After the elections, the state institutions are created during two-three months. In this period, the country is practically non-governed. In order to avoid such a situation, the AMN proposes holding the early parliamentary elections after the presidential elections, within a reasonable time,” said Vasile Balan, the leader of the AMN’s parliamentary group. In the news conference, the representatives of the AMN called on the member parties of the Alliance for European Integration to respect the principles used to form the government coalition and be united in pursuing the national objectives. They said that any attempt to undermine one of the partners of the Alliance diminishes the trust in the AEI. The AMN reiterated its position that the ruling alliance should field a common candidate for the President of Moldova and take part in the early legislative elections as a bloc.
