MP from “Moldova Noastra” Alliance (AMN), Vasile Colta, who was arrested by Romanian customs officers while attempting to illegally cross over the border 11 thousand packets of cigarettes, risks to be punished by the party. In a declaration of the prime-deputy chairman of AMN, Veaceslav Untila is mentioned that in case this information will be confirmed, Colta will be sanctioned by the party. “AMN will not tolerate any law violations, even if they are related to a simple party member or to a MP”, is said in the cited declaration. According to the National Agency of Fiscal Administration from Romania (ANAF), the customs workers and border policemen from Albita customs points found out 11 000 undeclared packets of “Pall Mall” and “Plugarul” cigarettes hidden in the car of a Moldovan citizen (Vasile Colta). Colta declared to the Romanian authorities that he purchased the cigarettes from the Republic of Moldova and wanted to give them to some fellow citizens who are living in Iasi. The goods, the value of which constitutes RON 25 500 (about MDL 123 thousand) was retained by the customs workers.
