American Film Festival opens in Chisinau

The fourth American Film Festival will take place at the Odeon Cultural Center during May 18-24. This year's edition of the festival will present a collection of ten films on the topic of reconciliation, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a press release from the U.S. Embassy. The films feature a variety of characters who face challenges stemming from cultural, generational, and racial prejudices. The films depict how these characters manage to forge new relationships and rebuild existing ones based on mutual respect. Ambassador Asif Chaudhry will open the festival at the Odeon Cultural Center on Tuesday, May 18 at 6:00pm. The festival's schedule is available at the Odeon Cultural Center, as well as on the U.S. Embassy's website: http://moldova.usembassy.gov. Seven movies will be screened in English with Romanian subtitles; three movies will be screened in English only. Entrance is free of charge.
