A group of United States businesspersons visiting Moldova in April will analyze the investment platforms offered by Moldova. This was announced by U.S. Ambassador Dereck J. Hogan at a meeting with Moldovan Economy Minister Chiril Gaburici.
“Attracting foreign direct investment into our economy remains a priority for the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, and this visit will allow us to present opportunities for profitable investment in industry, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism and IT. At the same time, we would like to borrow the United States’ experience in developing businesses and inspire ourselves from the success stories of American businesspersons so as to apply some of the practices here in Moldova”, Minister Gaburici was quoted by a press release as saying.
The U.S. ambassador reiterated his country’s support for the modernization of Moldova’s economy. Dereck J. Hogan praised the April visit as an opportunity to share the experience and successful practices of American companies.
There are about 400 companies with U.S. capital operating today in Moldova. With the equivalent of 500 million lei invested, the U.S. is the seventh leading investor in our country.
