The amendments to the Law on entrepreneurship license will have a negative impact on the Moldovan business and will trigger failures and unemployment, chairman of the Small Business Association, Eugen Roscovan, told Info-Prim Neo.
According to a number of amendments adopted recently, the holders of licenses will be prohibited to sell construction goods, furniture, household devices, starting 2007, and as of 2008 – food products.
Mr. Roscovan claims that the entrepreneurship license is one of the most proper forms of starting and developing a business, though it seems that the so-called reversed effect syndrome became a state policy in Moldova.
The expert believes that Moldova faces a trend of monopolization in all the businesses, fact which will have a dramatic impact on the population and the Moldovan business environment, as well as on the unemployment rate. The poverty level will rise and obviously people will flee the country.
At the same time, Mr. Roscovan says, the amendments are in conflict with the Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Paper (EGPRSP), moreover, they undermine it directly.
Roughly 40-44 thousand people per year, of those 80% women, own entrepreneurship licenses in the Republic of Moldova.
