When setting the pension for parents or guardians who looked after children with severe disabilities, the average official monthly salary will be taken into account for determining the average monthly insured income for non-contributive care periods. Amendments to the law on the public pension system were adopted by MPs in the first riding today, IPN reports.
It is proposed providing a solidarity supplement to recipients of pensions lower than the minimum pension. For 2021, the costs needed for providing the solidarity supplement were assessed at 512 712 100 lei.
The bill to amend the public pension system enables the persons who worked or continue to work after obtaining the right to a disability pension to have their pension reexamined, depending on the insurance period accumulated after the disability pension is set.
