The American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova (AmCham Moldova) launched a new Social Project titled “Life without Leukemia”, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a press release from the Chamber. “The “Life without Leukemia” project is designed to attract funds for children with leukemia. These children spend most of the time in the halls of the Oncology Hospital. The treatment and medication are very expensive and taking into consideration that the state covers only a part of the necessary budget, every time there is a risk that these children will remain without the so needed medication”, Mila Malairau, executive director of AmCham, said. The money gathered from the sale of tickets for the Charity Lottery that is traditionally held as part of the celebration of the U.S. Independence Day will be donated to the Oncology Hospital. The project is at its first stage, following that the AmCham Moldova’s members to join with additional financial and technical contributions. The campaign will run between July and September 2010.
