An ambulance taking a baby to the hospital was involved Wednesday in a road accident at the intersection of Mihai Eminescu and Bucuresti streets, where a similar accident happened on May 31. Evelina Rusu, managing doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the ambulance with the siren and flasher on was moving along Bucuresti towards Buiucani district, conveying a child of one month connected to the oxygen apparatus to hospital No. 1. On Mihai Eminescu St, the ambulance was struck by a Volkswagen. The driver suffered a backbone trauma and vertebra dislocation, the doctor - a concussion and chin injury, while his assistant – leg bruises. Immediately after informing the Ambulance Service about the accident, the doctor and his assistant stopped a car and took the baby connected to the oxygen apparatus to the hospital. The driver of the ambulance and the doctor's assistant were admitted to the Emergency Hospital, while the doctor did not need hospitalization. Six ambulances have been involved in traffic accents in Chisinau since the start of this year.
