Graduates, together with parents and teachers, participated in the “Alumni Gala – 2024”, an event at its third edition. Andrei Pavaloi, deputy head of the General Education, Youth and Sports Division of the Chisinau City Hall, said that this year’s edition is full of emotions that are felt not only by graduates, but also by teachers and parents, IPN reports. “Probably, your teachers have even more emotions as they raised you well for 12 years and now they are going to open the door in your life and bid farewell to you in the hope that wherever you go you will cope because they, as teachers, gave you those wings that will raise you in praise,” stated Andrei Pavaloi.

Thousands of graduates of secondary schools, high schools and colleges from Chisinau gathered together in “Alunelul” Park and shared their emotions, joys and experiences accumulated over the years of study. The young people noted that being a graduate means overcoming academic challenges with a lot of courage and becoming more responsible and persevering. They said that they have a duty to inspire future generations and to continue to honor teachers, those who remain the people at the foundation. Being a graduate means being satisfied with yourself, with who you are, with the results you have achieved, with your positive thoughts and plans for the future, and with the positive impact you have and will continue to have.

Associate professor Virginia Salaru said that the graduates demonstrated remarkable skills in the learning process because they passed the ability exams and the baccalaureate exam. The universities of the Republic of Moldova have prepared a generous offer for them this year, from the classical professions, educational sciences, in which they are gladly expected to continue what their teachers do, medicine, engineering and many others, but also the offer of professions of the future. The young graduates are expected to choose their career.

One of the highlights of the evening was the award ceremony of the winners of the “Graduate of the Year” competition. The young people were awarded prizes and diplomas of merit, symbols of appreciation for their outstanding results.

The atmosphere was animated by Cătălin Josan, Guz and “Lupii lui Calancea”.
