The recruits from the Transnistrian region will be able to choose the alternative military service if wearing a military uniform is against their religious beliefs, IPN reports, quoting the Transnistrian press that cites a local military commissar.
The young people who choose the alternative military service will submit an application to the military commission six months before the enlistment. The alternative military service lasts for two years. The young woman who turned 19 will also be able to join the armed forces on a contract basis.
The spring drafting campaign was extended until August 10 inclusive.
