About 48% of the 15,000 taxpayers of VAT that are served by the subdivisions of the State Tax Service in Chisinau, Balti and Comrat signed agreements with the state-run company “Fiscservinform” to be connected to the Electronic Statement service. The taxpayers in the three municipalities are to present fiscal reports over the Internet from January 1, 2012, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a program on Radio Moldova, Fiscservinform administrator Vitalie Coceban said all the 15,000 taxpayers were informed beforehand about the necessity of being connected to the Electronic Statement service, while the scheduling of visits to Fiscservinform enables avoiding queues. According to Vitalie Coceban, more than 300 economic entities that were recently connected to the Electronic Statement service already started to transmit fiscal reports over the Internet. “The electronic reporting provides advantages both to the tax inspectorate and the taxpayers. On the one hand, this service enables to optimize the fiscal administration procedures, the data being processed much quicker and in a more qualitative way. On the other hand, reporting becomes simpler for the economic entities, which spend less time and money” said Vitalie Coceban. The electronic reporting will become obligatory for the economic entities from other settlements starting with 2013. The fiscal reporting through the Internet is implemented with financing from the state budget (4 million lei), with the support of the USAID/BIZTAR project.
