More than 700 private individuals in the first two months of this year complied with the legislation on the leasing out of accommodations, the state budget being supplemented with 66,200 lei in basic payments as a result. In the period, fiscal inspectors calculated 3,300 lei penalties and 12,100 lei fines, IPN reports.
According to the State Tax Service, the fiscal inspectors in January – February identified 962 private individuals-owners who lease out accommodations without a contact and initiated procedures to make these comply with the law. The cases are identified in cooperation with the police and apartment building managers.
The owners must monthly pay a rate of 7% of the rental.
