The monthly allowance paid to service members of the National Army will be increased from 150 to 500 lei, as a draft decision to this effect approved by the Cabinet provides, IPN reports.
Under the document, the fired service members will be paid a one-off indemnity equal to three allowances, which is 1,500 lei. If they are orphans or remained without parental care, they will get an indemnity of 2,500 lei.
The decision provides that the service members enrolled in the Peacekeeping Forces in the security zone will get an allowance of 600 lei, regardless of the post held in the contingent. The service members named to executive posts by order will get a higher allowance while holding the given posts. For group commanders, the allowance will rise by 10%, while for deputy platoon commanders – by 15%.
The monthly allowance for persons involved in training will rise to 500 lei.
