All polling stations in Chisinau are ready for elections

The lists of the citizens having the right to vote in the municipality of Chisinau were updated and until Saturday, June will be sent to the polling stations in Chisinau and suburbs of the city, a press release of the City Hall says. At the same time, the ballots printed at “Universul” Printing House were sent to the District Offices, which will distribute them to the polling stations in the district, and the District Election Council of the municipality of Chisinau will distribute the ballots to the Bureaus of the polling stations from all the towns and communes included in the municipality of Chisinau. Until Friday, the District Offices and the mayoralties of the suburban settlements have distributed the invitations to the voting. Ludmila Burlaca, the head of the Local Public Administration Department said that at the moment all the polling stations in the municipality are ready for the elections which will take place on June 3. The District offices and the mayoralties of the settlements included in the municipality of Chisinau have eliminated all the violations found by the Emergency Situations Department and in all the stations the security of citizens is ensured. Moreover, the Trade, Public Nourishment and Service Providing Department of the Chisinau Municipal Council will provide drinking water. On Friday, the last day of the election campaign, the Chisinau City Hall requested the District Offices, specialised bodies and mayoralties of the suburban settlements to remove the electoral advertisement and to demount electoral billboards. 285 polling stations were opened in the municipality of Chisinau in compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Code and the rolls were made public 20 days before the elections scheduled for June 3.
