All kindergartens and almost all schools connected to heating system

All the kindergartens and 123 of the 199 schools in Chisinau are supplied with heat,” deputy mayor Vlad Cotet informed at Monday's meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Cotet, the municipality of Chisinau is fully prepared for being connected to the heating system. There are no technical problems that could hinder this process. But a large part of the Chisinau residents refuse to be connected to the heat supply for the time being as the weather is still warm. Mihai Gontea, the head of the General Public Amenities Division, said that only 84 of the 197 apartment buildings that have been issued with permits accepted to be connected to the heating system. The other buildings do not have permits as they have debts. The level of payments for heat in 985 buildings is 90%, while in another 150 – only 50%. About 20,000 consumers have been sued, Gontea said. Mihai Arusoi, the director of the heat supplier Termocom SA, said that nine preuniversity education establishments that are not supplied with head are private or departmental institutions. The process of connecting the medical institutions to the heating system is close to an end. Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the entire centralized heating system will be put into operation today. The heat will be available within 24 hours.
