Alexei Taran has been appointed as the General Director of the Administrative Council of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE). A decision in this regard was approved today by Parliament, IPN reports.
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu stated that the position of General Director of ANRE became vacant following the expiration of Veaceslav Untila’s mandate in February.
"As Speaker of Parliament, I exercised my prerogative and proposed Mr. Alexei Taran as a candidate for the position of General Director within the Administrative Council. He has previously served as a director at ANRE and meets all the necessary requirements," Igor Grosu explained.
The ANRE Administrative Council consists of five directors, appointed by Parliament through a competitive selection process.
Alexei Taran was first appointed as a director within the ANRE Administrative Council in March 2022.
