Shakhtyor Donetsk won a new title of champion in Ukraine. In the last stage of this season, the team trained by Romania’s Mircea Lucescu and Moldova’s Alexandru Spiridon beat the last-ranked FC Alexandria 3-0, Info-Prim Neo reports. Thus, Shakhtyor has won the seventh title of champion, in addition to those won in 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2011. This is the 16th trophy won by Alexandru Spiridon together with Shakhtyor. Among his trophies are five Cups of Ukraine, three Super Cups, and one UEFA Cup. Two days ago, Moldovan coach Alexandru Mariura won Russia’s Cup with the team Rubin Kazan, while Metalist Harkov, which includes Moldovan footballer Vitalie Bordian, has won the bronze for the fifth consecutive year.
