The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) will never accept another coalition with the Party of Socialists (PSRM), which is an annex that President Igor Dodon uses whenever he needs, said the vice president of the PPPDA Alexandru Slusari. He noted it is also hard to image a coalition with the Democratic Party in the situation in which this party is now, IPN reports.
“We accepted the first coalition with Igor Dodon not at all easily and I hope this will be the last. At a certain moment, I still doubted that the PSRM was an annex that belonged to Igor Dodon, but it later turned out that this was so. Currently, a coalition with the PSRM is equal to a coalition with Igor Dodon. For us, Igor Dodon is an undesirable person,” Alexandru Slusari stated in the program “Fourth power” on N4 TV channel.
Asked if after the presidential elections, the PPPDA will consider a collation with the PDM, Alexandru Slusari said that owing to the Democrats, snap parliamentary elections will most probably be held after the presidential elections.
“I think snap parliamentary elections will be anyway held after the presidential elections. I see the situation in Parliament and consider that the Democratic Party is at the dissolution stage and the majority will disappear sooner or later. The process is an accelerated one. As it is not clear what is going on inside the PDM, it will be hard to discuss coalitions,” stated the Deputy Parliament Speaker.
In conclusion, the MP said it will be hard to manage the current legislative body owing to the rupture inside the Democratic Party and he expects that the situation of the PDM will only worsen.
