Halfback Alexandru Pashchenko terminated his contract with Sheriff Tiraspol, IPN reports. This season he was more in reserve and scored only one goal.
In 2012, Pashchenko won the title of champion with Sheriff and was named the best halfback of Moldova. In winter, the 24-year-old footballer had been on trial at a team from Kazakhstan, but didn’t sign a contract with it.
Alexandru’s brother - goalkeeper Serghei Pashchenko - may take his place at Sheriff. He is training together with the team from Tiraspol, but is not yet free to sign a contract as he is in litigation with his former club Malavan from Iran.
The national youth team striker Igor Dima, who was ‘borrowed’ by FC Tiraspol for the last two seasons, returned to Sheriff.
On February 19, Sheriff will play the last friendly of the training secession held in Turkey, against Volga Nijnii Novgorod.
