The People’s Party of Moldova (PPRM) and its leader Alexandru Oleinic welcome the signing of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU, which initiated the process of transforming Moldova into a European sate. He congratulated the people of Moldova on this important victory in the fight for the democratization of the state, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the party.

According to the communiqué, the PPRM, by its acts and program, pledge to contribute to the country’s prosperity and economic growth. “It is very important for the ruling alliance, especially the Government, to realize that the period after the signature of the Association Agreement will represent an important test for the state institutions responsible for the implementation of the action plan for carrying out the accord and for the efficient implementation of reforms in all the areas. The people are tired of electoral promises and slogans. They want independent and transparent justice, a business community free from constraints, no corruption, transparent and efficient government,” says the party.

The PPRM commits itself to attentively monitoring the fulfillment by the Government of the commitments made to the people for implementing the accord. It calls on the current administration to show responsibility and respect for the people who have other options than the European integration. In this respect, the government is obliged to maintain relations of friendship with all the neighboring countries and the partner states.

“The signing of the Association Agreement that took place today represents Moldova’s commitment to commence the Europeanization of the country. The government must realize that time has come to switch from words to deeds and to take steps to make sure that our people live in a truly democratic, modern and civilized state with a developed economy,” reads the communiqué.
