The social political situation in Moldova following the latest events and actions shows that the parliamentary parties launched the election campaign. After they shared out and politicized the state institutions, the ruling parties divided society according to political criteria and started to politicize the national holidays, said the leader of the People’s Party of Moldova (PPRM) Alexandru Oleinic, being quoted by IPN.

“We were all witness to the concerts staged on the occasion of the obtaining of the visa-free regime with the EU, to the marches mounted on May 1. Currently, we witness parties’ ‘struggle’ for World War II veterans. On May 9, when all the people mark Victory Day, some celebrate Europe Day, while others stage marches,” stated the politician.

Alexandru Oleinic considers that Moldova now sees the greatest political chaos since the declaration of independence. “Owing to the division of the institutions according to political criteria, the managers of these institutions, instead of strictly respecting the commitments made by the Government to our development partners, make political statements and act in accordance with the interests of the party that they represent. As a result, consensus cannot be reached and the necessary decisions are not adopted. Consequently, Moldova risks losing €68 million of the European funds intended for farmers,” he stated.

According to him, the politicians who promised the people a prosperous Moldova without poverty condemn the people who remained at home and cultivate the land and those who retired and live on a miserable pension and the children who are this country’s future to poverty.

“Given that the situation in Ukraine becomes more alarming, the representatives of the ruling parties should stop dividing society and should think about the dangerous consequences of these acts. The PPRM is firmly convinced that Moldova’s European future can be guaranteed only in conditions of political stability and political consensus in the name of the people of our country. The PPRM calls on the Moldovans not to take part in the actions aimed at dividing society and to show wisdom and respect to each other,” said Alexandru Oleinic.
