The offering of employer-provided housing to employees of the Ministry of the Interior will increase the attractiveness of the post of employee of this Ministry, Minister Alexandru Jizdan stated in the talk show “Issue of the Day” on Canal 2 channel. According to him, this could increase hope in tomorrow, IPN reports.
Alexandru Jizdan said the fluctuation of staff in the Ministry’s bodies has decreased. The people leave the system not only because they do not have a place to live. The equipment, salaries and working regime are also among the reasons. “I hope the fact that we will have these 550 apartments will make the people more optimistic and the attractiveness of the post of employee of the Ministry of the Interior will increase daily,” he stated.
The minister noted that the employer-provided housing will be distributed in conditions of increased transparency and the apartments will not be provided based on kinship or the relationship with the chief. “The people who are entitled to apartments will receive these. We will take the family tree into account,” he added.
The firefighters and rescuers will receive employer-provided lodging the first. As many as 550 apartments will be provided in the municipality of Chisinau to these and to employees of the General Police Inspectorate, border police officers and carabineers. About 1,000 such apartments are needed to satisfy the demand.
Alexandru Jizdan said the Ministry of the Interior intends to modernize some other buildings and to also construct training grounds for employees so that the people who work at the Ministry do not have life expectancy of only 59 and are healthy people.
