Alexandru Golban was elected president of the Futsal Association of Moldova for the next four years. The decision was taken by a unanimous vote in the Association’s general assembly, IPN reports.
Golban replaced Alexandru Burlac, who managed the Association during the past 28 years. Constantin Scripnic and Dumitru Tuliuliuc were named vice presidents, while Vladimir Colbasiuc as secretary general.
Also, Valeriu Băieșu, Daniil Ivanov, Oleg Clipa, Igor Soltanici and Roman Lupașcu were chosen as members of the Executive Committee.
Alexandru Golban, 40, played for the national football team of Moldova and scored four goals for it. In his career, he also played for such teams as Dacia, Milsami, Karpaty, Ceahlăul, Eintracht Braunschweig, Simurg and Tobol. During the past few years, Golban served with the Moldovan Football Federation as director of the specialized national squads.
